I am a busy dad that spends my reading time on non-fiction like self help and social/psychological research books. I am going on a cruise and want to spend my reading time for those days on a fun book. I know I tend to like spy or crime novels.
Back when I read more fiction, I really enjoyed the Bourne series and some of the Jack Ryan series from Tom Clancy, and Jurassic Park. I am also close to finishing Dune which I have really enjoyed.
I have also enjoyed some tv shows based on books (Bosch and Slow horses) but don’t want to read the same stories.
Mostly I am looking for a good story that I can get into. No specific genre is off limits, as long as it is enjoyable. I just don’t know where to start.

Tishomingo Blues
A little life hanya yanagihara is a book about 4 guys trying to make their way in the world. It’s humorous at times and will pull on your heart strings a little. Solid book to get lost in.
