Hello everyone! I’ve recently picked up reading again in the past 6 months. I have been ripping through a lot of older sci-fi and have really come to love and appreciate the works of people I’ve only ever heard wrote good books.
I’ve made my way through Dune (1-6), Sprawl, Foundation (1-3), Several PKD works, as well as the Red Rising series. Additionally, I took a break to ready Andy Weirs Project Hail Mary, and that was amazing!
I’m looking for some more modern examples of sci-fi greats that I might not be aware of. Stuff from the last decade or so that will be on “Must Read” lists 50 years from now.
Some themes I enjoy are dystopia, cyberpunk, hard sci-fi, adventure, mystery, horror, COSMIC horror, and intrigue. I’m not super big on romance, but I don’t mind it as a subplot.
I’m becoming quite the sci-fi junky, so please feed my addiction. I am on the tail end of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? And will need my next book soon. 💜
