Hello! I’ve been working out how to catalog a collection, fewer than 10k books. I’ve decided for the most detailed catalog I will be using LibraryThing. I don’t plan on using ‘social’ features, I really just want comprehensive information stored about the books. That’s part of the reason I landed on LibraryThing. Do others use this and what are your likes/dislikes about it?
Also, who else has scanned their books to add them? Most of mine are new enough to have ISBNs, so I’m planning to get an inexpensive bluetooth scanner to add them. Has anyone else experienced issues with scanning into a catalog? LibraryThing has an app with a native scanning feature that will just be too slow for the volume I have to get through. Does anyone know whether the app can interface with a bluetooth scanner instead?
OOOR does anyone have a better method of scanning your books to catalog them?
