Dark toxic relationships

I finished This Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover and I hated it. The abusive relationship was interesting but the characters felt one dimensional and the plot was incredibly contrived. It felt too light for me.

I love reading about messed up relationships so anything with affairs, abuse, something along those lines?

Any good read that you can suggest please do!

Edit: I would love to read about a woman who cheats on her husband and feels really guilty if anyone can think of one. All the ones I’ve found have been light books like Sophie Kinsella so it doesn’t really feel as morally bad when it’s lighthearted…
