Suggest me fiction like The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde or Belle de Jour by Joseph Kessel, *not* hedonistic in the same way as books such as Last Exit to Brooklyn or Requiem for a Dream.
With attractive prose (I did not enjoy the writing style of LETB). Fiction about debauchery & frivolity, but not crass in its descriptions preferably.
Thanks!

Perhaps [Madame Bovary](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/52945256) by Gustave Flaubert?
Slow Days, Fast Company by Eve Babitz!
