Hi all!
So I’ve just picked up ‘Malice’ by John Gwynne and I love the premise but I’m reading the open 20 pages or so and the scene takes place in a meadow (imagines meadow) that’s by the sea (ok) and there’s a castle (ok) and then a crowd and then someone nearly falls into the sea (ok they’re by the sea but I though they were in a meadow) and now the characters go off and walk along the ‘bay’ but they’re on cliffs how did they get down to the sea? And now they are looking out at the boats (fine) and back at the meadow (but isn’t that on the tops of the cliffs, how would they see it?)
Do these inconsistencies in description take you out of books when you read? I find they really bother me and was wondering if others felt the same?
