What are some of the most iconic scenes in all of literature? Like, truly memorable. The type of scene that stays with you for years after you read it and changes you because of that.
For me I’m thinking the locker room scene in Carrie, or the scene in The Count of Monte Cristo where he is escaping the prison.
I think to make something an “iconic scene” it needs to be really visceral, something you can see when you read it and really feel like you’re there. Or something that really changes your perspective on something so that nothing you see is ever the same again.
