I’m rewatching The Walking Dead and am looking for some books in a similar vein. I love the dynamics and relationships being set up against such a desolate background, and people finding hope and comfort even in the most hopeless of situations. Also like the concept of people being forced to do horrible things, and having trauma change them—whether they come back from it or not. Doesn’t necessarily need to be zombie focused—just anything that captures that hopeless, sort of end of days kind of vibe.
