I need something thrilling or engaging to help keep me alert.
I enjoy crime stories, murder mysteries, and comedy. I also enjoy learning and psychology but I’ve got “the body keeps score” queued up already, just need something more lively to promote staying alert.
I’d prefer a book read by the author (they tend to emphasize in the correct places, and have proper cadence while reading thier own literature- it’s distracting for me to try to figure out what the original author wanted instead of having someone interpret that for me- if that makes any sense.
I am an American woman in her thirties driving my grandmother and myself over several states to be with my mother (and gmas daughter) while she is on hospice.
I am too picky and am having a hard time finding something that I’ll like. I enjoy listening to audiobooks but I’ve never been one to be a reading fanatic, so I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m running out of time to download a book before we head out.
Sorry for the lengthy repetitive post, thanks for reading if you got this far.
