    Hello!

I have recently re-fallen back into my Greek mythology hyperfixation (partly because of the PJ show, partly because I’ve gone too long without a hyperfixation and so have been wandering aimlessly through life and took the first out I could). I am looking for books mostly centering around the mortals in Greek mythology, or the Not-Olympian-Gods, or the victims to the Gods, if that makes sense. Icarus, Daedalus, Arachne, Galatea, Prometheus, and others that I can’t think of right now or am not familiar with. My current writing project is poetry from these characters’ pov and so I need more.

I’m less wanting mythological fiction(is that what these are called?) like *Circe, The Penelopiad,* or *The Song of Achilles,* and more a collection of works in one. Feel free to suggest books like those too though! I can always check them out later.

Please do include “children’s” books, or books with pictures/art if you have any! I love seeing visual interpretations of characters, particularly in Greek mythology.

    1. Haven’t read this one yet, but you might enjoy Ariadne by Jennifer Saint. It fits into the “mortal that suffers at the hands of the gods” narrative, but I feel a bit bad about recommending a book I haven’t read yet.

Ulysses might be a good one too, try and find a children’s version of the book. I read Ulysses in 5th grade and really enjoyed it, but it was a simplified version. Also it wasn’t in English so I can’t say which English version is good for you.
