Help me find this book?

I took it home from the library about ten years ago maybe a little more. It was an autobiographical graphic novel based around the author’s experience growing up in the 80s and 90s. She was a girl and what I remember recounted things like seeing the little mermaid in the movie theaters for the first time and getting a belly button ring that got infected. The book was also oriented horizontally and the art style was.. characteristically unique I think.

I think it was my first idea of what adolescent and young adulthood would be like and for that reason I find it very nostalgic to think back to reading. Let me know if you know what it is or have heard of it.
