For those who may not have read Kay or Gabaldon, here’s what I mean:
* **Historical Fiction or Fantasy** (Kay’s work feels historical but is not set on Earth)
* **Beautiful, Descriptive Prose**
* **Character-Driven**
* **Evocative or Well-Developed Setting**
* **Romance Done Well** (but not over the top or even required)
* More of a **Slice of Life** feel (i.e. slower paced), but with a few clever plot twists
* Great **Audiobook Narration** is a bonus!
I have heard that Ken Follett fits, but would love confirmation from those who have read him. Plus obviously any other suggestions are welcomed, thank you!
