I’m looking for fiction books with realistic portrayals of mental illnesses. I’m open to really anything in this sort of category, but I’d especially appreciate books with characters in psychosis or with disorders like schizophrenia, that are written realistically.
It could be in an asylum/mental hospital, a slow decent into madness, a psychotic break and the aftermath of that, etc.
I’m also interested in a fiction book that follows a serial killer, but of course written realistically.
I love books like this but romances with this are often very unrealistic.
