I’m looking for a book that focuses on the relationship between a child and a single parent that doesn’t focus on romance. When I first started looking I was searching for specifically a single dad but they were all romances- keeping in mind I didn’t look too deep before coming here. My usual genre is fantasy but it’s really not necessary here. The best book I read with any kind of focus on this (I’ve only read two) was Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky (mother and son) if that contributes to your suggestions at all.
And maybe make it YA? If you think the book is good and it’s not YA recommend it anyway.
