I firmly believe that there are certain works of fiction that have the ability to transport you effortlessly into the world created by the author. Just like when we click with certain people that are on our wavelength, I feel this to be the case with books.
What was the last book you read that had this effect on you?

Edith Holler by Edward Carey. As a result I got to be a cursed 11-year-old in 1901 Norwich living in a haunted Shakespearean theater. I feel like I should send the author a thank you card!
