My uncles birthday is coming up and I want to get him a book, but we both read very different books so I’m struggling to think of something appropriate.
He’s in his late 50s, he’s a real life fiction, non fiction, biography, inspirational type books. He is a feminist, he’s traveled the world a lot, he’s involved in charity, he’s a progressive person who wants to make changes for the better in other peoples lives (and has).
I’m thinking something with an inspirational message, maybe a true story. A few books he has recommended to me because he enjoyed them are:
– Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés
– Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace… One School at a Time by Greg Mortenson
– No Friend But the Mountains: Writing from Manus Prison by Behrouz Boochani
– We’re Going to Need More Wine by Gabrielle Union
– Half the Sky: How to Change the World by Nicholas D. Krisof and Sheryl WuDunn
– Dark Emu by Bruce Pascoe
Any suggestions are welcome!
