Just finished The Postmortal by Drew Magary. Phenomenal book about immortality and the human condition (meh ending). My chest aches and I feel empty, yet I want to be hurt again. I’m looking for something dark that makes me question if I want to keep going. I really enjoyed the dystopian themes and am looking for something similar.

The only Clive Barker book I could get through was The Thief Of Always, which is considered a fable suitable for children. Most of his other work is pretty damn dark. I’d start with him.
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Demon Copperhead was a lot, but so incredibly well done
Tender is the Flesh, got through it but I almost stopped. I only kept reading because I like to finish a book once I start.
