Martha Wells’ *Murderbot Diaries* series of sci-fi novellas. Mostly action, quick-paced with minimal world-building.
It follows an ex-military cyborg that hires out as security to humans at the edge of the galaxy. It recently hacked its way out of human control and struggles with dealing with humans as equals.
The first one is **All Systems Red**.

Naomi Novik’s Scholomance trilogy! Fun, fast paced and interesting 🙂

The Foundation series, by Asimov. I very quickly flew through it. Its full of action, and a plot that spans many centuries. I can’t recommend it enough.
