My interests are somewhat varied, but the common theme is power, and I’m interested to hear recommendations for books that fit into this category. Currently I’m alternating between reading Walter Lippmann’s books about public opinion and a book called Study in Infamy, which is about the Hungarian secret police.
Topics I’m interested in include:
– Media and propaganda
– Organized crime
– Secret police and intelligence agencies
– Elitism (e.g. power elite by C. Wright Mills)
Books that fit into these categories or provide some other insight into power would be much appreciated!
