**DISCLAIMER: I have strictly read Non-Fiction for the last two years (David Goggins, Jocko, etc.)**

I fell in love with reading about two years ago. After I graduated high school, I went five years without reading a book (shame…)

Then one day I read *The Martian* by Andy Weir. I WAS HOOKED! I went on to read all of his books, *Project Hail Mary* and *Artemis*.

Since then, I have **only** read non-fiction biographies and self-help. I have loved reading them, I am just burned out.

With that being said… **SUGGEST ME A BOOK THAT WILL TAKE ME SOMEWHERE THAT IS FUN!**

Please provide a single sentence summary to save me from a google search lol

Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones – a young woman cursed by a witch with an old age spell becomes the housekeeper for a vain wizard, his young apprentice, and a fire demon in her attempt to break it. And lots of other things happen. It’s just an absolutely delightful book. (Also, if you’ve seen the movie, there’s a lot of differences.)
Drowning by TJ Newman.
It’s like if Armageddon and the Titan submersible fiasco had a book baby. A plane crashes into the ocean and the fuselage sinks with a handful of passengers trapped inside and the rescue mission from the surface. I didn’t even take a pee break when I read that book. It’s a wild ride.
Piranesi by Susanna Clarke is a great bet if you liked the journal format of The Martian. It’s a very fun book.
Lonesome Dove
The Count of Monte Cristo

“Fans of the Murderbot Diaries” and “fans of Andy Weir” are two categories with quite a lot of overlap.
(I didn’t like Weir, love Murderbot, and know people who love both.)
I feel like there should be a “recommend Watership Down” bot. But Watership Down.
