Suggest me a book with an inspiring female character who turns her life around

I’m looking for books from the perspective of a highly inspiring woman character.

It doesn’t need to be a biography or based on real events, what matters is that the story revolves around a difficult situation, and character development happens as they take risks, overcome main obstacles and make a big change in their own lives.

I read “meredith, alone” by Claire Alexander, which was suggested here and liked it a lot.
