So I’m a big nerd, and some of my earliest reading experiences of “grown-up books” were the Star Wars Extended Universe books (now decanonized thanks to capitalism). Among my favorites were the X-Wing series, which I read and reread to death. I just picked up Brandon Sanderson’s Skyward series, and it made me feel like I was back reading one of the Wraith Squadron books again. I then plowed through the first book in about 48 hours (which is saying something for me, as I have a toddler and consequent chronic exhaustion). I’m planning on reading the rest of the series, but any recommendations for books in a similar vein for when I finish and I’m looking for more? They don’t have to be sci-fi, but I’d love for them to have the same vibe and dynamics of the fighter pilot squadrons. Books with good audio versions appreciated due to the aforementioned toddler situation 😁
