I’m an English teacher for a Danish 10th grade class, so my students are near-fluent. I’m running a unit on “the future,” using a few different pieces of science fiction, and looking for a short story that isn’t too complicated, but paints the future optimistically. Most of what I find is either too bleak or too difficult to read.
“Vaccine Season” by Hannu Rajaniemi is a great example, but I think the language is a little difficult for my group. Other ideas?
