I tend to get tired when reading longer books. I recently finished East of Eden but had to take a break halfway to read a bunch of shorter books before continuing. And my last long book before that was 1Q84 which I also enjoyed but took me some time to finish.

The Firm by John Grisham
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
Pillars of the Earth (the whole series) by Ken Follett
Four Fires by Bruce Courtenay
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver (depending what you consider long)
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Not a single wasted word in this one. This year I plan to read it again for the 5th time.
Shogun is the longest thing I read. That’s engaging all the way through.
Les miserables
The deed of Paksenarrion
