The Eragon series

I (35m) read aloud to my wife (34f) as we go to sleep. Books that are older English (think Pride and Prejudice) are too hard for me to read aloud smoothly.

We started on Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley but it didn’t stick.
