I started reading Murakami as someone who stopped reading as a child about 5 years ago in my twenties. Since then all I’ve been are his books and then re-reading. I thought I should expand who I’m reading, but I’ve gotten some similar recommendations and wasn’t as interested.
I love the “realism” aspect of it with the hint of surrealism embedded within that realism. I think I love a book with a bit of dialogue to cut through the content as it feels a little dense to me when it doesn’t.
