I love fantasy (don’t mind romantasy), but I want STANDALONE books only, because lately keeping up with book series has just been exhausting. I want something that’s all in one book and not scattered in a few. Please try to keep the page number to less than 600.

Amusingly, it was one of his earliest attempts and was significantly re-written by him prior to actual publication, meaning it was written by Terry Pratchett and Terry Pratchett!
*Nettle & Bone* by T. Kingfisher. Or another book by T. Kingfisher – she writes pretty unusual fantasy books, most of them standalones and on the shorter side.
