{{abandon}} by Blake crouch. left me so upset at the unfairness of it that I couldn’t stop thinking about it for months

    2. Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy. I saw it recommended by someone who primarily read horror so expected something dark and was totally blindsided. Honestly the twist wasn’t super shocking but by the time I got there it was 6am and I hadn’t got to bed yet (due to ADHD reading hyperfocus) and was exhausted and the whole thing was already depressing in general as it’s set in a near future where most wildlife has gone extinct. So I ending up waking my husband up out of a dead sleep and sobbing to him before passing out lmao. I’m never touching that book again.
