One hundred pages left to the end of the entire story. I can tell a hell lot of things are going to happen in these 100 pages. I don’t feel ready to bring myself to read it yet. I’m not sure if I’ll cry my eyes out.
Beartown trilogy is so different from other Fredrik Backman stories. It reveals so much dark sides of people. Kevin raping Maya, Ana spreading Benji’s secret, Matteo taking revenge for his sister. But these stories have so much power inside them. I expected the trilogy to be just “Fredrik Backman-y”, telling the power of love through sweet things in life. But hell, this is so different. Once I realized things are going to go to hell, it’s too late to turn back.

I’ve only read Beartown. Us Against You has been on my shelf for years and I haven’t been able to bring myself to read it. Beartown was great but it was so harrowing.
