Dive into the heart-pounding world of Steven King’s “The Running Man”! Picture this: chapter numbers ticking down from 99 to 0, a relentless countdown that adds an extra layer of suspense to an already gripping narrative. This isn’t a horror novel; it’s an epic race against time, with short, intense chapters that keep you on the edge of your seat. Join the adrenaline-fueled journey and experience the thrill of a beat-the-clock adventure to stay alive at all costs… like no other!

Try reading some of the older 30s, 40s, 50s books. Modern novels are quite long compared to older novels.
Try the Nero Wolfe detective series by Rex Stout.
Or Raymond Chandler’s books, The Big Sleep; The Long Goodbye (Philip Marlowe)

This book is not fiction, but you might enjoy it. “Bloom for Yourself” by April Green. I loved this short book!
No specific recs but what usually helps me is rereading one of my favourites.
Short and fun. Haze, the love life of an insomniac. Romance and comedy. https://www.amazon.com/Haze-Love-Insomniac-Jon-Marcus-ebook/dp/B0CQTZTX5M/
