Okay, I’m about 84 pages into this book. I picked it up a while ago thinking it looked interesting and that the summary on the back was short, sweet, and kept me wanting more from the story.
I’m finding myself kinda bored by it so far. I know what’s going on and such, but I can’t quite put my finger on why I’m not enjoying it as much.
To those of you who have read it or are reading it, does it pick up at any point? I really want to like it and want to avoid dnf, so pls lmk 🙏🏻

Yes it picks up but not in a big way. I did finish the book and thought the effort was worth it, but I’m not finishing the series, but that’s more because I’m just not in a place to handle the grim/gore without a lot of anxiety and unease.
