my hatred for Haunting Adeline goes beyond words and i cant stand it. does the author know anything about anything? this book is disgusting and horrific.
all the people who like this and is encouraging others to read it please stop.
if this is something you do in you own home with consent and adults then i don’t care what you do, if you enjoy reading things like this go for it, but keep your love for these privet.
I get it, everyone has a kink, a thing they like, they’re niche. We shouldn’t be ashamed of them but lets not pretend that media like this being encouraged is healthy or empowering.
all this does is down play how serious stalking, EA, PYA, SA, and R\*\*\* truly is. We have characters like Zade meadows, Hardin Scott, Miles Archer, Don Massimo Torricelli. who are painted by the authors and their fans as morally gray characters, “ oh they change”, “you are supposed to hate them at first”, “they do all these good things too.” and they are romanticized, forgiven, excused, and as they gas-light the love interest they are gas-lighting you the reader. I see post after post talking about how much they want to date these characters, and be stalked by them, or what they would let them do to them when, their victims didn’t have a choice. They didn’t get to “let them” do anything, oh but it doesn’t matter because it’s a fictional book right? That didn’t actually happen to real people right?
. We can not fight against the evil in the world and then promote it in our books, Tv, movies.
There is so much room in story telling, have your characters do things, bad be a bad person and move on from that AND HAVE consequences! but don’t try and spin it to me that because the girl that he was abusing stopped fighting back, got stalk-home, suddenly fell in love, and lets not forget the best part, WAS WRITTIN TO FALL FOR HIM, DESTEND FROM THE BEGINNING THAT NO MATTER WHAT SHE WILL LOVE HIM. That is not abuse, that I am supposed to support this, no its bull and you know it.
