My grandma is in the hospital and its a 3 hr round trip for me. I’d like something that is interesting and compelling but also doesn’t require all of my concentration to follow. Both fiction and nonfiction are fine.
Some books I’ve enjoyed driving to were The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Endurance by Alfred Lansing, an Anne of Green Gables adaptation starring Catherine O’Hara, The Queen’s Gambit, Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer and In the Heart of the Sea.
Books I couldn’t get into while driving:
Anna Karenina with Maggie Gyllenhaal narrating and Starvation Heights by Gregg Olsen. The former was me having trouble keeping the names straight and the latter was the narration.
