    The least of us

Wow, this book is the ultimate novel filled with plenty of knowledge. This book is written by Sam Quinones.

This book is full of answers of how brain chemistry changes when someone becomes addicted to drugs. It has explanations and answers questions I’ve asked before like

Why is fentanyl being mixed in with everything?
Why are drug dealers killing their customers?
Why would people take drugs knowing how bad they are?
Why would someone give up ever for them?

The book goes heavily into the Sackler family , how sales reps from Purdue were pushing sales and causing addictions.

It goes into detail of how cooking meth has changed overtime and how it’s taken a toll on people .

There are many moments that will break your heart. My advice is let it break.

There’s also stories of solutions and redemption.

I would guess that most of you that have read my post know someone addicted to pain pills or other substances. I would also guess that most have known someone to die from addiction.

I have a sibling that spent years abusing pain pills and it grew into her taking fentanyl pills and switching to meth, thankfully she is almost a year clean. I have also lost friends to addiction and other family members.

This book is one I recommend that everyone would read and learn from.

I highly recommend reading Dreamland, also written by Sam Quinones and released in 2015. The Least of Us is meant to be its follow up.
