Books kind of similar to “American Prometheus” (mathematician/physicist protag, seeing their career progress, hardships they face, etc.)?

I’m a massive math/science nerd, so naturally, Oppenheimer became one of my favorite movies when it came out. I plan on reading the book it’s based off as soon as I can get my hands on it, but I also would like to know what other books are similar, in the sense that the protagonist is a physicist or a mathematician and the book details their life story and the progression of their career. It doesn’t need to be based off of real events, like A.P. was, I’m perfectly fine with it being fictional (as long as it’s realistic).
