eco/scifi/dystopian is the genre i love the most. i’ve read psalm for the wild built and loved it. i don’t know if this helps but i watched scavenger’s reign while reading annihilation and it was perfect. that show encompassed all the things i love about the three books i mentioned. weird things happening in nature, with an edge of horror or thrill. plants growing in cities that are in ruins. but i just love weird stories. i hope this all makes sense.
to note — i do want to continue with jeff vandermeer’s books!
pls let me know your ideas!

Octavia Butler’s *Parable of the Sower* has aspects of this. One difference: The struggle is not so much against nature itself as against the societal breakdown caused as climate change gets worse and water runs out.
I assume you’re familiar with the New Weird genre in general?
The Seep
This one is more of a stretch, but Mexican Gothic
Tender is the Flesh
Solaris
Kameron Hurley’s stuff
*Roadside Picnic* by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.
