There’s a lot of new Romantasy out there, but the problem I have is the girl-boss-ification of it all. I liked the concept of ACOTAR but it felt like a Marvel movie. I do NOT want my FMC to be wearing “fighting leathers”. I feel like every Romantasy book is like this and I’m sickkkk. I want a damsel in distress that only wears gowns. I want there to be limited technology. I feel like so many writers cannot find a perfect balance. Basically I’m looking for a GOT or LOTR type world with a romance plot.
