I like sci-fi and fantasy books where characters have fantastical abilities (doesn’t necessarily mean superpowers or magic, it can be something a normal human can do in the context of the story’s fantastical setting like piloting mechas or raising fantasy creatures for example). I also like books with a larger cast where characters can be on opposite sides of the same conflict without clearly being good and evil while also maybe facing larger threats that causes a need for cooperation, and relatedly books with multiple contrasting pov characters.
I’d like to find a book or series that has both of those elements while also having queer characters as the main characters. With good representation that actually focuses on things like the characters’ sexuality or gender, rather than bringing it up and ignoring it or it only being confirmed in external material or whatever.
