It’s maybe not the type of book normally talked about on here but I would love to hear some other thoughts on it because I haven’t been able to convince any of my friends to read it yet.

I’m always a bit trepidatious reading comedians books, Frankie Boyle is a Scottish comedian if you didn’t know, but I sincerely really enjoyed this book. It was obviously full of very funny lines and some quite thoughtful asides but I also it was surprisingly well written and just a fun read. Sort of a Scottish Inherent vice but with Frankies sense of humour.

There was a tangent towards the end with quite an intense tonal shift that was a real gut punch to me and had me shedding a tear or nine. I wont say too much more for fear of spoilers but those that have read it will know what I mean.

Would just love to hear anyone else’s thoughts even if you hated it because I’ve been waiting about six months and still haven’t been able to talk to anyone else who has read it.
