I’d say anything written by her. My personal favourite is her ‘Love Medicine’ Series, but if you don’t want to commit to all the books you could go for her most popular, literally titled _Love Medicine_.
Erdrich’s prose is poignant and she poetically reflects on the enduring bonds that tie individuals and communities—the whole series makes up a multigenerational saga, and _all_ of her characters are richly developed.
