Hi all
Looking for fiction books with very realistic representations of chronic pain. How they navigate it in daily life, relationships, work, etc.
I’ve read a lot of romance that has various chronic illness representations so I’d prefer another genre to shake things up.
Any age category is fine!
What I absolutely do not want to read is a perseverance trope. I do not want to read anything about a person being rewarded for pushing through chronic pain, the narrative ignoring the fact of the character’s pain when convenient to the plot, miraculously being cured, or anything in that vein.
