Am I the only one who thinks Lowen is the manipulator and actually wrote the manuscript. I think Lowen’s been keeping tabs on Verity’s life because she wants to be Verity. It says a lot when your own mom is scared of you and you’re scared of what you’re capable of in your sleep. Jeremy finds the manuscript on Verity’s computer? Lowen sent it to Verity in hopes Jeremy would find it and think she actually wrote it. Lowen sleep walks in Verity’s room? She left the note there. (If Jeremy didn’t want Lowen in the end, she would take Verity and Crew and leave him helpless) Verity has a knife? She’s afraid of Lowen. Lowen has a dream that Crew was evil? She’s becoming her own character. Lowen bites down on the headboard where Verity bit? Lowen wants to become Verity.
I believe Lowen suffers from a mental illness called psychosis.. it was mentioned a couple times in the book. I think she hallucinates and has a false reality. The first scene where Lowen sees a man get hit by a bus? I don’t believe that’s what actually happened. I think it was half hallucination.
Lowen wanted to become Verity and she did.
