Hello! I’m looking for recommendations for books for my 75-year-old grandma, who rediscovered her love for reading a few years ago. I’ll be visiting her soon and want to surprise her with some new reads.

My grandma enjoys cozy books that avoid current pop culture references, tech jargon, or lengthy descriptions on specific topics like chemistry. She’s particularly drawn to stories about romance and family relations, as well as books with beautiful landscape descriptions that aren’t overly lengthy (she tends to skip those parts!). A happy ending is a bonus.

    Books she’s enjoyed recently include:

\- Little Women and its sequels by Louisa May Alcott (though not her absolute favorites)

\- Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery (a definite hit!)

\- The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa

On the flip side, she didn’t quite connect with:

\- Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus (finding it hard to get into)

\- The Love Hypothesis (deemed too young adult)

\- The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson

\- Book Lovers by Emily Henry

I would greatly appreciate suggestions for heartwarming books that align with her preferences. However, please note that I’m not looking for classical romantic novel recommendations like The Notebook or works by Fiona McIntosh, as she’s read some and enjoyed them, but I can’t recall which ones I’ve given her. Thanks in advance for your help!
