To preface, I have severe anxiety and depression, and I listen to relaxing/funny audiobooks to help when I have bad days.
I’m posting this because I’ve tried googling it and while there are plenty of topics about animal protagonists, a lot of them are more dramatic or sad titles. I’m looking specifically for books that are humorous and involve groups of animals as the main characters. Bunnicula is a perfect example. I also recently came across another series starting with The Great Pet Heist, about a group of pets that get into various funny mishaps. So anything in that same vein is basically what I’m looking for.
But Audible recommendations suck, so I only get either the aforementioned sad books or deep, thought-provoking books on social issues for middle-graders which, while important, are pretty much the opposite of what I’m looking for.
I know it’s embarrassing as an adult, but middle-grade books are often perfect for helping me to escape my mind. They’re often low stakes and simple enough to relax to, while mature enough that I can actually get engaged in the plot. That said, I’m open to any book recs that meet the title criteria, whatever reading level!
