Just for context. I’m a high schooler, (year 10), and I really want to get more into reading books. I’ve read books like Gatsby and Little Women for school and they’re all filled with these complex references and old-language that’s just overall hard for me to keep up with unless I analyse it in class. I want a book that’s supposedly a ‘classic’ or well known, but also that it’s like hooking for me, so reading doesn’t feel like a chore. I know that’s not a lot to go of, but any suggestions are welcome, and I’ll take all of them into heart. To base your recommendations, I do like action/comedy as general entertainment genres, and I enjoyed reading Cherub by Robert muchamore as a kid.
