I am wanting to get back into reading this year (or really into reading for the first time). I have always struggled with my reading skills, but don’t want to miss out on something just cause I am embarrassed of the level I am at. I am probably looking for suggestions for books that are at a preteen/young adult reading level. But would preferably not have the topic of the book come off as too “childish”. I think that I want to read more fantasy type or fiction in general but also open to non fiction as I use to read a lot of autobiographies/bibliographies.
Some books that I really enjoyed when I was younger and read a bit more:
Hatchet
Lord of the Flies
Harry Potter
Into the Wild
Fever 1793
Olives Ocean
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Just don’t really know where to start.
Also, one of the books that was recommended to me was Mistborn. I have never heard of it, nor do I know if it’s an “easy read”. But if you have read it before and have any feedback on it that would be great.
