Has anyone read this book, I’m surprised to see no discussions on it. I thought it was a well done atmospheric crime thriller. Bonus points that it was written by someone from the area the book takes place in, written by a woman, and a Black woman at that since 99.9 percent of the crime thrillers I’ve read are by White men (love you Lonesome Dove). Anyway, I just want to talk about it, what did you think? The ending wrapped up a little abruptly for me and *SPOILER ALERT*
I didn’t quite understand Isaac’s motives for finishing off the murder but I still rate this 4 out 5 stars.
