So, I have been struggling to read Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy for the better part of a week now. His prose is just so difficult for me. I just stopped by my local HPB and they had a 20% off sale. I made my way over to McCarthy just to browse and saw a perfect condition copy of Child of God for $5. And that was before the extra 20% off! I took it as a sign and of course I bought it.
My question is…without any spoilers, would you say this book is easier to read than Blood Meridian, in terms of prose- not content? Let me know!
