My best examples are Commencement by J. Courtney Sullivan and Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. I like the coming of age trope in these books and it reminded me of the HBO show Girls. I have googled books to read if you like the TV show Girls and Commencement was on the list so it’s definitely spot on.
I like books that aren’t about rich people and I don’t like most fantasy. Some examples of books I liked are Harry Potter, The Maze Runner and Twilight. I used to love reading YA like Thirteen Reasons Why and John Green novels but have outgrown the genre and get annoyed by the immaturity. I also like Gillian Flynn’s novels and The Woman in the Window etc but I got burnt out on twisty thrillers.
