I’m more interested in father-child, as someone who’s trying to navigate my own troubles.
Mother-child is also on the list. It’s interesting to see how different they are to father-child.
What’s more interesting is how daughters and sons get different treatment. And there’s no one way either, I find it morbidly fascinating how individual circumstances make all the difference. The more complex, the more fascinating. Literature that contains this stuff seems to scratch that brain itch for me – partly because it helps me navigate my own past.
I’m open to both fiction and non fiction – biographies and such
This comes after I started reading metamorphosis yesterday (my first kafka work) and through that learnt of the letter(s) he wrote to his father – and how they depict the complex relationship they had. I’m yet to check that out.
